About me

Ja sam zamjenik predstojnika odjela neurokirurgija (zadužen za obrazovanje studenata) u sveučilišnoj bolnici St. Poelten u Austriji. Izveo sam preko 2000 operacija. Moja glavna subspecijalnost je operacija tumora na mozgu, uključujući operacije baze lubanje i cerebrovaskularne operacije. Također imam iskustva u operacijama kralježnice (> 800 operacija), uz izuzetak kralježničke instrumentacije.

Moj glavni znanstveni interes su neuro-onkologija i traumatska ozljeda mozga. Od 2014 ja sam na čelu studijske grupe Neurotraumatologija Austrijske udruge neurokirurgije. Imam međunarodno obrazovanje sa stipendijama neuroznanosti na sveučilištu West Virginia, SAD, Sveučilištu u Napulju, Italija, Sveučilištu Tübingen, Njemačka, te u traumatskom centru Murnau, Njemačka.

Moj glavni cilj u neurokirurškim konzultacijama je objasniti medicinska oslikavanja u kontekstu neuroloških simptoma pacijenta. Pacijentovo razumevanje je presudno i nužno da se odredi pravi put ka oporavku.
