I was born in Budapest, Hungary (1965). Upon graduating from Semmelweis University, I worked as a physician in training at the 2nd Department of Pediatrics (Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary) the leading academic center for pediatric hematology and oncology. I spent 4 years as a postdoctoral fellow in University of California at San Francisco (Metabolic Research Unit, UCSF, San Francisco, CA, USA, 1991-1995).

I am an associate professor of medicine at the Semmelweis University. Currently, I am Deputy Head of the 2nd Department of Pediatrics at Semmelweis University, Head of the Hungarian Pediatric Cancer Registry and Secretary of the Hungarian Pediatric Oncology Network.

Apart from clinical research in the field of pediatric oncology, my main scientific interest is the targeted therapy in pediatric oncology.
