Head, Pediatric Orthopaedic Team, Department of Pediatric Orthopaedics and Adult Foot and Ankle Surgery, Orthopaedic Hospital Speising, Vienna (Austria)
Cirujano ortopedico • Experienced pediatric orthopedic surgeon with focus on axis correction, limb elongation, and congenital and acquired defects. Head of the Pediatric Orthopedic Team of the Vienna Orthopedic Hospital Speising.
I am an internationally trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon. I specialize in pediatric and adolescent orthopedics, axis correction, limb lengthening, and also congenital and acquired defects.
In addition to my experience at the Vienna Orthopedic Hospital where the Ilizarov method of bone lengthening has been applied since the 1980s, I was able to attend the prestigious International Center for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction in Baltimore, USA and the Ilizarov Center in Kurgan, Russia to expand my knowledge. I am a lecturer on this topic at annual conferences in Baltimore and Vienna and at the Taylor Spatial Frame Visiting Surgeon Program (VSP) at the Speising Orthopedic Hospital, where surgeons from all over the world are trained. Since 2013, I have been performing leg lengthening with the new Precice system and teach colleagues in this surgical technique.
Since 1999, I have experience with the Ponseti method for clubfoot treatment and trained with Dr. Ponseti personally. In 2002, I was able to implement the Ponseti method at the Orthopedic Hospital Speising, with the support of the Executive Board.
Because of my scientific and clinical experience, I am a lecturer at various pediatric orthopedic symposias and courses worldwide. I published multiple scientific articles and I am a reviewer for medical journals.
Dr. Radler was professional and studied the documentation, and we received an opinion that reflects the diagnosis of my son
Thank you very much for the analysis and for the opinion, we will proceed according to it.
