About me

I am a licensed orthopedic trauma surgeon focused on knee injuries. I am an expert on reconstructive knee surgery including knee ligaments and arthroscopic surgery of the meniscus and cartilage. Annually, I perform 300 reconstructions of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and more than 300 arthroscopic knee procedures. I am also active in the field of meniscus and cartilage regeneration with minimally invasive methods.
I am very active in treating athletes with knee injuries and receive worldwide referrals of those patients. I am the team physician for the Austrian Skiing Team (ÖSV), two ice hockey teams (SV Arminen, Post SV), the Austrian Soccer Board, the American football team Danube Dragons. In the past I was the team physician for the Austrian Tennis Federation and the Austrian Badminton Federation.
I have written about 40 peer-reviewed publications, have been the invited speaker at many international lectures and courses.
